Description

She is the Living Holy Bride, that blossoms in incredible fragrance and beauty, despite the forces of the patriarchy.
Mary said ‘the one who finds me will find the Anointed, for I am the house in which the Lord dwells. – the Secret Gospel of Mary Magdalen
Here she is both Maria Migdala, the Exalted One and Maria the Beloved Companion, Spouse and Holy Bride.
This image of the Hieros Gamos, is the Christos, the anointing, of the Logos and Sophia, Yeshua and Maria Migdal. This is the reception of the chrism, the influx of supernal living light. The Holy Bridegroom and Holy Bride are two ancient names for the Christ centre on the ancient Tree of Life. In the Kabbalah it is Malkuth or the Kingdom (the Bride) joined to Tiferet or Beauty (the Bridegroom)
In the Mysteries of Mary, in IV Holy Rood (four of wands) Joseph carries the miraculous flowering rod to Mary, his earthly bride’s wedding. The flowering rod, symbolized by the flowering hawthorn, sacred tree of the Great Mother, represents the ancient World Tree and the unknowable mystery of this infinite life and the miracle of conception.
This story has been told through many ages and many cultures and in Judaism it was told in the story of the flowering of Aaron’s rod and the Tree of Jesse.
The wedding of Mary and Joseph is a pre-cursor to the wedding of Jesus and Mary Magdalen. Whether there was a formal marriage does not matter : this is a marriage of the Sacred Heart, the Hieros Gamos in the Holiest of Holies. Where Joseph was the bearer of the flowering rod, Mary, the Beloved, the koinonos, is the flowering and fragrant jasmine. Without her there would not have been a living Path of Love.
She was the One who anointed the Christos; She was the One who stayed at the foot of the cross with the other two Marys and She was the first to see Him after His resurrection.
She was the Teacher of Teachers and the Apostle of Apostles. She is the one who took the true message and story of Jesus into the world, despite the constant threat of persecution, torture and death.
