Rosaries for Thirty Days with Mary – part three

Each rosary is, in reality, a spiritual garland of roses
created by the giving of various prayers,
most often including the “Hail Mary”.
Those who are sensitive as they pray will feel the
coursing of this Mother energy known as the
kundalini from the base to the crown, nourishing their chakras.
It is a washing action of the light; it is a daily cleanse,
a bath of divine radiance.
It is the Mother’s nurturing of us as we revere her love,
her light and all that she did for Jesus
and also for us

Mary, Gate of the New Dawn

The first seven days are dedicated to
Mary, Gate of the New Dawn.
“Who is she that rises forth like the dawn,
fair as the moon,
pure and bright as the sun,
and as terrible as a many-bannered army?”
– Song of Songs 6:10
We start the first seven days with a dedication to the
Black Madonna.  I invite you to ponder on her meaning
for you and for your belief systems and how they play
out in your life and experiences.
I quote the words of Ella Rozett from interfaithmary.net
:
To many (-)  Mary is the Heavenly Mother of all, and like a good mother she seeks to meet all the needs of her children. Especially as the mysterious “Black Madonna” she allows people to project their hopes, desires, and needs unto her, only to draw them ever deeper into divine mysteries.
She plays many roles for many different kinds of people: She is the heiress of the thrones of the pre-Christian goddesses. She is the bride of the Christian God, the bride in the Song of Songs, who represents all souls seeking union with the Divine and says: “I am black but beautiful.” (1:5) She is a rebel against the establishment, a heavenly therapist, a spiritual guide. As the Dark Mother archetype she is a symbol of our inner shadow-self when properly integrated. As a black woman she is a friend to the oppressed and reconciler of all races. She is a healer of all dis-ease, a guide and companion at the time of death. She is the helper of Christ, turned black by carrying our sins with him.

This is the ground that we will be comtemplating in the first seven days.

Surya Yoga or Sun Gazing and Sun Bathing Part Two in Thirty Days with Mary

Surya Yoga or Sun Yoga, also kown as Sun Gazing, is a powerful
healing and enlightening practice of devotion and worship.
Sun gazing leads to healing of mind and body.
Omraam Mikhail Aivanhov wrote :’Surya yoga includes them all :
adoration, wisdom, power as well as purity, activity
and dedication, light and the sacred fire of divine love.
By the practice of Surya yoga you establish a link between yourself
and the power that governs and gives life to the whole
Universe: the sun.’
By ‘sun’ Omraam is referring to the spiritual sun
which the physical sun is but a reflection.

Sun gazing is still practised as a daily rituall called
Surya Namaskar by Hindus
and it used to be a daily practice of many peoples
throughout the world.

It is important to be barefoot whilst sun gazing and to
have the feet firmly on the ground or grass.
After the thirty days practice you may continue
to do the sun gazing or and then you can extend it into
the more advanced meditation techniques of employing
a rosary or thumb movements on the palms of the hands.
More about this later.

In the beginning it is best to keep it as simple as possible
and to stay open and  receptive to the spiritual sun’s, which is ‘behind;
our physical sun, energies.

The sun yogi Hira Ratan Manek taught the world everything
that he discovered about sun yoga and he also created a cd
and dvd which is available to purchse on line.
It is best to follow his instructions.

When you start to do sun gazing, do not combine it with
meditiation, prayer or any other spiritual techniques.
The best times to do sun gazing is for the first hour before sunset
and the first hour after sunrise.  The energies differ during these times.
Omraam claimed that prana is most intense twenty minutes before
and twenty minutes after sunrise.  Sunset is also a time
that is charged with energy and is conducive to meditation.
This has to do with the angle of the sun’s rays impinging on the
earth’s magnetic field at sunrise and sunset, charging the magnetic
field and affecting the magnetite in your pineal gland.

You merely gaze into the sun whilst sitting or standing barefoot,
with feet touching the earth.  You can use a UV meter to measure
the UV – it is best to do sungazing when the UV is very low.
You can also time your sungazing with a digital timer – it is best
to start off with twenty minutes per day.
Drink a glass of water before and after sun gazing because sun gazing
can be very cleansing and the water helps remove toxins.
If you wear glasses, remove them. It is okay to leave contact lenses in.
Gaze at the sun in a relaxed manner; dont strain.  It’s okay to blink the eyes.
If your eyes tear, dont rub them.  Sessions start at ten-second lengths, increase by ten seconds
a day.  If you find that too difficult at first, then gaze only five seconds
and increase by five.  If cloudy, then sun gaze but dont increase the time.
When cold, gaze indoors through a window or glass door.
It is important in the time of sun gazing to be passive and receptive
and to allow the sun to heal your mind.
Just be.

When you reach fifteen minutes a day you can sun gaze with
your arms outstretched to the sun, hands spread out
and facing the sun.
As you breathe in deeply, visualise healing rays of light coming
from the sun and entering your left palm and travelling to
areas of your body that require healing or
strengthening.
Visualise the light going to your heart.  Mentally affirm
that the light is healing or strengthening you on a cellular level.
Then as you breathe out, visualise the light returning to the sun
through your right hand.  Express love and gratitude
for your healing.  Establish a continuous flow of energy.
If arms get tired, lower them with elbows at sides and hands still
facing out.

Dont aspire or push or results will be delayed.
Be as a little child and just enjoy the beauty of the sun
without expectations or demands only with
love and gratitude.

If you wish to continue with this practise after the
thirty days, you can read up about the practise
in the works of yogi Hira Ratan Manek as well as
in the book The Splendour of Tiphareth by
Omraam Mikael Aivanhov for more information
on the power, the mudras and the advanced spiritual
practice of surya yoga.

Creating a rosary of Light

We start the first seven days with a dedication to the
Black Madonna.  I invite you to ponder on her meaning
for you and for your belief systems and how they play
out in your life and experiences.
I will write more on her in the next blog post.

You can read some of what I have written previously
on the Black Madonna here

https://hergracesacredart.com/2015/04/queen-of-cups-in-mysteries-of-mary.html

We start the first seven days with the following prayer :
On this day, O Beautiful Mother
On this day we give thee our love.
Near thee, Madonna, fondly we hover,
Trusting thy gentle care to prove.
On this day we ask to share
Dearest Mother, thy sweet care.
Aid us ere our feet astray
Wander from thy guiding way.
On this day, O Beautiful Mother
On this day we give thee our love.
Near thee, Madonna, fondly we hover,
Trusting thy gentle care to prove.
In the name of the Father,
and of the Mother, and of the Son,
and of the Daughter and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
This is followed by Sun Yoga or sun gazing.
Full instructions to follow in a separate post.
End the day with Vespers (Evening prayer) at dusk.
Repeat the prayer to be followed by sun gazing.
Before sleep say the recommended rosary
at Compline (Night Prayer).
This is the basic structure.  You can add
rosaries, prayers, chants and songs if you like.
I will post the recommended rosaries and mantras.
I will share the inspiration that I received when I answered
the Call by the blessed Mother to join hearts and minds
in upholding the divine image of Mary as Our Lady of Mercy,
Hope, Sanctuary, Succour and Healing.

I invite you to spread the word, the inspiration and the Love.

Thirty days of Mary

Shrine of Blessed Mary in my garden
photograph by Hettienne Grobler
Since the pagan times, the month of May always
had a special significance for the divine feminine
and goddess.
In the North it is spring, so the Romans and Greeks
 dedicated this month to Flora
and Artemis.

In the Southern Hemisphere it is Autumn and we
prepare for the transition of the winter months to
deeper travels into the inner worlds.

Crowning ritual of Blessed Mary at the Temple of Mary shrine
in my garden by Hettienne Grobler

Traditionally the month of May celebrates
the crowning of Mary.

The Temple of Mary and her Flamekeepers
will celebrate the crowning of Mary in a ceremony
of devotion and celebration.
www.hettiennema.wix.com/sanctamaria

I will be sharing the date of this ceremony here
and you may join in wherever you are
by creating an altar dedicated to the
Blessed Mother.
 So take the time, create

an altar and weave a crown of flowers for your Mary statue.
Remember that your devotion and attention
invoke the holy Presence into the physical image and you can
place water, oil and food on

your altar to be blessed by her presence.

 I will also share the
prayers and rosaries that we will use on that day.

Divine Sophia, Wisdom by Hettienne Grobler

We will also be devoting the entire Month of May
to Blessed Mother Mary and her gifts of
peace, healing and enlightenment.

The thirty days of devotion will include a daily
session of surya yoga, (sun gazing), saying Rosaries
specifically for certain days of the week and
for certain decrees, as well as time spent in
meditation and healing circles.

 So take the time, create

an altar and weave a crown of flowers for your Mary statue.
Remember that your devotion and attention
invoke the holy Presence into the physical image and you can place water, oil and food on
your altar to be blessed by her presence.

I invite you to practise the 30-day dedication and devotion to Mary
during the month of Mary.
This is a very ancient tradition and you will receive
the blessings if you do so.
Each day will be dedicated to an aspect of Divine Mary
and if you sign up for this practise, you will
receive daily mails with the details of the spiritual practise,
the focus of the dedication,
daily meditations, focus of the day
and the rosary for the day.

If you want to participate, send me an email and I will
send you the instructions.
My email address is [email protected]

Newsletter April 2015

Greetings from the Love-Fire of the Sacred Heart of the Mother of All
A bit about my story as it unfolds
The fire of love blazed in my heart
and consumed everything.
My books, my erudition and my mind
I put away on a shelf.
Now I write only poems
– Rumi
I am deep into the Otherworld of myth, metaphor, fairy tale and the incredible
symbolism of Mary.  I am working mainly on the Mysteries of Mary Tarot Deck – an
undertaking which seems almost impossible, but I am nearing completion!
My hands are creating 78 tarot shrines in this deck – each one received in dreamtime or
during trance states.  All the material has to be collected and gathered and I
use traditional Catholic figures.  At first I was perplexed by this instruction, but as the deck has been unfolding
it has become clear that there are many many reasons for this to be so.
Once the shrines are completed, they have to be photographed and then
they they will need some graphic design to be turned into cards.
I am concurrently writing the book which will accompany the deck of cards
and my biggest challenge is not to turn it into an encyclopedia.
The Wisdom just pours into my brain and profound knowledge as well as hidden
facts and history has been revealed.  At times I fear that I will have to go into
hiding once I have published the deck, but fortunately we no longer live in
the burning times and I am also supported by Blessed Mary in finding
academic research for all the revelations.  It is an amazing and blessed
and very humbling journey.
What would a year be without a pilgrimage?  I am very fortunate to be travelling
to Lourdes again this year.  And also to Assisi, the House of Loreto and Chartres.
All these places and their significance to the journey of our Souls in its current
mythos and evolution, appear in the deck.  In fact, you will discover, along with me,
how every single pilgrimage that I have undertaken the past 16 years, were
a very important and significant step on this holy path.
Staying in touch
I have been changing some of my blogs and also deleted some websites
in order to streamline the physical output in line with what is coming.
I have also created a new website http://maryammariamary.blogspot.com which
is the front page of all my work, posts, publications and links.
I am working on putting up some e-books and also online courses
for download.  These links will all be on this website.
Our website for the Temple is still being updated from time to time
I am planning a ritual at my home in May to dedicate a flame
to the Temple of Mary and its nine flamekeepers.
Those who live close by are invited to attend – please let me know –
and those who live far away or who cannot make it, you can
send a candle which we will include in the ritual and you can place
it on your own personal Flamekeeper altar and also light all other
candles from it.
(It will be on a Thursday or Friday morning in May)
I am available to you via email and whatsapp and the phone, should
you feel the need.  Some of you may notice that we are often having conversations
in the other realms or that I visit you in your dreams.  The work continues.
In fact, in a year or two, you will witness many changes and transformations
and you will be called to testify to the world of your personal dedication
to the Blessed Mother of the World as She sends out the Call to many.
I am also available for spiritual guidance and healing.  My time is limited
and I already have a few I am working with, so I do not advertise this too widely
I will be putting up more info on the website
I am blogging on www.path-of-divine-love.com, (Cloister of the Heart) and
www.hergracesacredart.com (Mysteries of Mary Tarot Deck) and
http://maryammariamary.blogspot.com (Mysteries of Mary) and there will be a post
today on www.bookofmarysacredheart.blogspot.com (The Temple of Mary) (if loadshedding
allows :D)
 so make sure that you
are subscribed if you want to follow the posts.
I do not write as often as I used to as most of my energy goes into
the tarot deck as well as created a sacred garden at home, ready to receive
the small physical temple dedicated to Mary which I am planning.
The Month of May is dedicated to Mary

Since the pagan times, the month of May always had a special significance for the divine feminine
and goddess.  In the North it is spring, so the Romans and Greeks dedicated this month to Flora
and Artemis.  The Month of May celebrates the crowning of Mary.  So take the time, create

I would like to invite you to practise the 30-day dedication and devotion to Mary
during the month of Mary.  This is a very ancient tradition and you will receive
the blessings if you do so.

Invitation to a retreat into Mary’s Flame of Love
I will be offering a retreat from the world into the powerful Presence
of the Flame of Mary’s Love at Temenos in MacGregor.
This call has been coming through very powerfully the past few months
and I have decided to stop resisting.
I will be spending two or three week nights at Temenos during the
June school holidays.  Week nights are cheaper than weekends.
They also offer a winter special of three nights for the price of two.
All meals can be self-catering and dinner can be taken
together in the restaurant.

I am extending an invitation to you to join me.  The time will be
spent in silence, in walks, guided meditations at The Well,
small ceremonies at some of the shrines and satsang.
It will be a casual coming together of the Flamekeepers of the Temple of Mary.
There will not be a program – it will unfold as guided.
The focus will be on turning within and receiving the new energies
that She is currently pouring out.
The invitation is also extended to anyone that you know that
would like to be a part of the energies
Temenos rates are R365 pp sharing a cottage per night
or R385 pp in a single cottage plus meals – you can have all meals
in restaurant or self-cater – the price of the restaurant is very reasonable.
As spiritual director for the retreat my fee is R500 per person.
So all in all it is very affordable.

Recovery of the Life of the Inner Child

Icon Holy Wisdom by BR Lentz
The above icon is of Holy Wisdom as a young boy.
Luke 18 :  But Jesus called the children to him and said “Let the little
children come to me and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of
God belong to such as these’

Have you noticed that many of the qualities
recommended by religion and spiritual and self-help gurus,
as well as creatives and artists,
are those that we see embodied
by small, naturally happy, children?  Words such as innocence, wonder,
joy, curiousity, spontaneity, creativity, forgiveness, acceptance,
openness, honesty, sharing, the belief in miracles.
Have you witnessed the absolute ease with which a small child
lets go of feelings of injustice or betrayal?
Have you also noticed that many miraculous apparitions and
here I am thinking of the manifestations of Mother Mary,
appear only to children?  There are sometimes adults present, but
they do not see what the children see nor understand that a transparent
universe and reality is even possible.
Do you remember being told that your playmates are your
imaginary friends or that you are imagining ‘things’?
The journey that we call the ‘spiritual journey’ or the
journey of awakening is the journey back to the
authentic true self.  It is the journey to the original
whole child that you were at birth.

It is the face that you knew before you were born …………..

The Swan Blessings Part II

Statue of Compassionate Mother of the World
in my garden shrine
You must give birth to your images.
They are the future waiting to be born ….
fear not the strangeness you feel.
Just wait for the birth …..
for the hour of new clarity – Rainer Maria Rilke

My quest is, and has been, to give expression to
the mystical vision that is alive in my inner world,
both in a way that will add beauty and meaning to my own life
and to the world of which I am an active
participant, and to, very importantly,
understand that mystical vision.
And then to go out and share my understanding
with others so that we may all benefit
from the fruits of the Tree of Sophia.
Soulcollage images created by myself
Blessedly we are living in a time of
religious freedom, and if we have the courage
to break away from our mechanistic following of
our religious traditions and heritage
and our familial conditioning, we can read
and study the many religions of the world.
Even more powerfully, and importantly, we
have the freedom and option to heed the
Inner Voice which is without sound,
and to craft our own Religion of the Soul.
I have a strong sense of the inner world
and see it reflected in fairy tales, myths, legend
and religion.
Some of these inner visions have stayed with
me for all my life and they have acted as my
Guide and Guardian Angel, as well as Daemon.
Sometimes they have guided me into very difficult
places of great challenge and loss but always,
eventually, to greater understanding and meaning.
In the first part on the Swan Blessings, I visited
the image of the Swan and how some of it has
played out in my story.
Today I am focusing on the second part of the
vision, and yes, they are related, in a very
unexpected way!!
The second vision is that of
Snow White and her glass coffin.
Through the different phases and cycles in my life, this image has had
different meaning and interpretations for myself on a
personal level.
I did not fail to notice the correspondence between the
fairy tale and the incorruptible bodies of the saints
in both the Hindu and Catholic traditions
Image from www.bluehearttravel.com
The body of St Terese of Lisiuex
Notice the similarity in the flower wreath around the head
www.lifeinitaly.com
Santa Chiara in Assisi
There are various interpretations on the level of
the psyche as to what these images mean.
I choose to rely on my own intuition and feeling.
When the ‘colours’ of the image and the meaning
that I uncover in my own understanding, lines up,
then I experience a great sense of release,
a letting go, followed by a birthing of inspiration
and renewal on many levels.
Probably because of the belief, in Western patriarchal religion,
in separation and the original sin and fall
of humanity from their existence in Eden,
there is a deep-seated belief in personal
unworthiness.  Or maybe this is a deep-seated
stream in the human psyche, a basic duality
as seen as the other side
of the double-headed face of Janus,
symbolising our dualistic understanding and beliefs.
On the flip side of this coin, there is the also deep-seated
knowing that we are indeed the Holy Sons and
Daughters of God, holistically one and whole,
no separation and no distinction between good and
bad, dark and light :  both the light and its shadows
praising the Creatrix.
This deep seated belief in personal unworthiness
gives rise to a  need and yearning for
perfection and purity.  As an artist I am privy
to this need for perfection and it really spells
death for all creativity and art.
Creating art, as does life, demands great courage and risk taking.
Our Western way of thinking and striving for material
success, negates all creativity and art-making
and denies the beauty of Creation, both in its
light and dark aspects.
Snow White and the Saints in their incorruptible bodies,
spell death.  Yes, that is obvious, you are saying.
But they are resurrected in various ways.
 So it is a form of a living death;
a suspended state of neither being awake nor
being asleep, but outwardly perfectly beautiful,
 staying forever young.
And as we know, our society values eternal youth
beyond gold and jewels.
I see in these images the desire for perfection.
The glass encased face of eternal beauty.
She is not ravaged by the demands of life;
she does not create nor make art, nor participates in life
and the living.
A perfect mask that will be acceptable
to the mind of the self.  A role that is to be enacted
under the maestro of the archetype of the ego.
And the opposite for this perfection
is messy living with its huge emotions and conflict.
So in that belief system, it follows that soul and body
are in conflict with each other :  that the earth
is not paradise and that humanity  is doomed
by its own mortal flesh and blood, its senses and
sensuality, its primal instinct and wayward nature.
Humanity is stuck in a glass coffin of perfectionistic
and purist ideals as God, the All, is only present
in the Light.
In this light (I could not resist the pum),
the mind blocks the consciousness from
understanding and awakening to the tremendous
and awesome meaning of God equals ‘Good’.
I see that many have moved away from the
patriarchal religion and are desperately looking
for a new way.  A way of wholeness.
A path that is based on Beauty, Compassion,
Truth and Wisdom.
But, alas, unless you do your own soul-searching and
your own wild-crafting, you will in no time find
yourself walking a well-trodden path leading
to the same places of separation and division,
of transcendence as opposed to participation,
now merely parading new names and banners.
Now these places are often called Light Spirituality,
Enlightenment, self-improvement and
mostly Light and Love and once again, there is
an attitude of either-or.
In trying to bring balance to a Western patriarchal
system by only focusing on the matriarchal, a new imbalance
is being created.
Can you see how the opponent serves your transformation?
How the ever-happening imbalance brings
growth and new birth and new life:
 Balance equals perfection.
Perfection equals stagnation and death.
In trying to control conflict, in denying
tension and differences, no new life
can be created.
If one only looks at the cruficixion and you forget
about the resurrection, then you miss the entire
message of the Christ.  A Course in Miracles
devote many chapters to this understanding.
One plus one equals three :
new life is born from struggling and discord.
Living with the tension of the opposites,
allowing disagreement and another’s
voice that differ from yours, to be heard,
brings awareness to the glassy mind,
of the awesome beauty of creating a life
that has meaning.
Unity and a wholistic understanding of
God and Its Kingdom, which is Us,
is a paradoxical approach of both/as well as.
A sacred trinity of one plus one equals three.
There is a place where all the rivers converge
and that place is the Sacred Heart of humanity.
